BOSTON, MA, February 26, 2018 — Thought Industries, one of the fastest growing online learning SaaS companies, announced today that its Learning Business Platform™ placed #7 on Craig Weiss’ Top 50 Learning Systems for 2018 report.

This is the first year Weiss’ rankings have included learning systems outside of Learning Management Systems (LMSs). Thought Industries’ debut in the Top 10 indicates both the success of their platform and the industry’s growing desire for more focused, use-specific learning systems—rather than one-size-fits-all LMSs.

“Our Learning Business Platform was solely designed for revenue generating training companies. They don’t want a generic LMS tool. Instead, they want a solution built for selling training to a much more demanding learner, their customers,” said Barry Kelly, CEO at Thought Industries. “Debuting at #7 on Craig’s Top Learning Systems list is validation of our platform’s problem-solving abilities. We’re honored to receive this esteemed recognition.”

As CEO and Lead Analyst for The Craig Weiss Group, Weiss is recognized as one of the most influential people in the learning systems space. His 2018 rankings were based on UX/UI, learner and admin functionality, company financials, customer support, product roadmap, and overall innovation.

Weiss remarks, “Thought Industries is a vendor to watch in 2018 and a great example of why I opened my rankings to other types of learning systems. Their friendly, feature-rich, and user-driven learning platform has a lot going for it. The analytics and reporting are solid. Video management is robust. E-commerce includes subscription management (nice). And multi-tenant is here as well.”

Weiss also liked the platform’s 2018 roadmap, which includes a new customer learning and software training product that will help organizations improve product trials, onboard customers, and increase engagement.

“Overall, it’s been a fantastic start to the year,” said Kelly. “We’ve maintained our record growth and continue to receive accolades from customers and analysts alike. This makes us all the more dedicated to pushing the evolution of the industry’s first true Learning Business Platform.”
