We were founded in 2014 around the core belief that online learning experiences should be modern, intuitive, engaging, and scalable. Today, our growing team builds and maintains the only learning solution with completely native tools and integrations that drive higher engagement, learner proficiency, and retention rates for our customers.

From a basement in the South End to an intercontinental business

Five years ago Barry Kelly, Doug Murphy, and Chris McClelland, our cofounders, were fed up with complicated, dated, frustrating learning platforms. So, they built their own. The mission; modern, branded sites that make sense for the learner and administrator. From a basement in South End, Boston they built the first modern learning platform and, today, they built a team that supports and pushes forward their mission to continue delivering the best solution on the market backed by first class customer support.

BARRY KELLY

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

20+ years as an external training champion, marketer, and digital learning innovator. Barry Kelly is the CEO and Co-founder of Thought Industries. He is an external training champion, marketer and digital learning innovator. His career has focused on supporting businesses to deliver impactful training experiences that increase customer lifetime value. Prior to Thought Industries, Barry was the Vice President of Technology and Product Development at America’s Test Kitchen. In this role, he created, executed and maintained the digital product strategy and served on the senior management team.
ROBIN WADSWORTH

President

25 years of high growth B2B technology, go-to-market, and leadership experience. Robin Wadsworth brings more than 25 years of high growth B2B technology, go-to-market and leadership experience to her role as President. Robin focuses on the entire customer lifecycle and aligning the go-to-market functions with the business plan. Prior to joining Thought Industries, Robin held senior-level sales positions at PROS where she was instrumental in building a global cross-functional collaboration methodology, and BlackLine, Inc. where she increased the enterprise value in excess of 10 times to more than $2.5 billion during her tenure.
CHRIS MCCLELLAND

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

10+ years in leading enterprise software development teams. Chris McClelland co-founded Thought Industries with Barry Kelly in 2014. With over 15 years of experience in software development, Chris and his team have built the platform from the ground up into the award-winning solution it is today. As Chief Technology Officer, Chris is responsible for outlining the company’s technological vision, implementing technology strategies, and ensuring technological resources are aligned with business needs. Prior to Thought Industries, Chris held lead developer positions with America’s Test Kitchen and DigitalAdvisor.

DAVID DOWNING

Chief Marketing Officer

30+ years leading strategic marketing teams to drive long-term business growth. Downing has a storied career helping software leaders including Informatica, NetSuite, Zscaler, BlackLine, Oracle, SAP and Adobe establish new categories and rapidly grow market share. He has led marketing at several software-as-a-service (SaaS) start-ups and helped guide three companies to successful IPOs. He most recently served as CMO with Cloud Elements and SnapLogic, helping them evangelize the market opportunity for API and self-service integration.
ROB LUBASH

Chief Financial Officer

Over 25 years of finance experience with proven strategic and operational success. Rob Lubash brings over 20 years of financial leadership and SaaS experience from rapidly-growing startups to public companies. Most recently, Rob was CFO at InCrowd. Previously, he garnered experience in the SaaS learning solutions space at OutStart, later acquired by Kenexa and IBM. A certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant, Rob has also served as a controller at ServiceSoft and Infinium.
TODD BOES

Chief Product Officer

25+ years of success defining, building and launching enterprise-grade products. Todd Boes brings over 25 years of experience building and launching enterprise-grade products, platforms, and services in both early-stage startup and Fortune 500 software companies. Todd is responsible for product development, ongoing feature innovation and overseeing the product lifecycle, including product vision and roadmap. Prior to Thought Industries, Todd served as Chief Product Officer at Genscape, Inc., where he led the vision, strategy, and delivery for the industry’s largest Internet-of-Things data analytics and predictive insights platform.

SVP Customer Experience

Therese Kelleher brings over 20 years of customer-centric and global business experience to the company. Responsible for building a world-class customer-obsessed organization focused on delivering a phenomenal customer experience across all segments and geographies, Therese oversees the Account Management, Customer Success and Technical Success & Support organizations, as well as customer-facing teams at Thought Industries. She has a passion for establishing practices for long-term customer success and hiring, developing and retaining top talent. Prior to Thought Industries, she held various senior-level customer success, sales and general management positions at Groupize, BCD Meetings & Events, EF Education First and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
MIKE JAHODA

SVP of Professional Services

Mike Jahoda brings nearly 20 years of experience establishing and leading high-performing and profitable Professional Services teams with companies in high-growth phases. Mike oversees the global professional services strategy, utilizing his strong mentorship, culture, communication and relationship management experience to build out the team and create lasting customer relationships. Prior to Thought Industries, Mike was SVP, Professional Services and Customer Success at PROS Software and Senior Manager, Strategy, Pricing and Profit Optimization at Accenture.
MIKE DAECHER

SVP Corporate Marketing

20+ years leading strategic marketing teams to drive long-term business growth. Mike Daecher brings more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience from fast-growing startups and established online businesses. Prior to working at Thought Industries, he was Chief Marketing Officer at ArtistWorks. Before that Mike was at Active Interest Media where he first learned and used the Thought Industries platform to launch the multi-million dollar online education business.
SAM BOURNEUF

Vice President of Finance

10+ years in financial leadership roles helping companies succeed at the enterprise level. Sam oversees Thought Industries FP&A and Strategy teams. He joined the company in 2017, as VP of Finance, Sam is responsible for working across the organization to build the forecasting, business intelligence, and performance management frameworks to support Thought Industries’ rapid growth. He is responsible for driving transformation internally overseeing Thought Industries OKR process. Sam regularly partners with the company’s field organizations to assist in building the multi-year growth plan. He brings 10+ years of experience leading FP&A organizations through the early stage, high-growth process. Prior to Thought Industries, Sam led strategy and planning for a VC-backed organization, helping them scale from 10 employees to over 750, over $100M in annual revenue, raising $120M+ in venture funding. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University, majoring in Finance and International Business.
DANIEL QUICK

Vice President of Learning Strategies

20 years of experience designing learning, delivering training, and building customer education programs. Daniel Quick brings over 20 years of experience designing learning, delivering training, and building customer education programs. Daniel is responsible for leading industry research, product education, and L&D teams, and is focused on communicating valuable best practices with the broader community. Before joining Thought Industries, Daniel was a game designer and entrepreneur. More recently, he led Customer Education at Optimizely, Culture Amp, and Asana. Daniel is passionate about creating exceptional learning experiences and delighting customers.
SARAH CAMACHO

Vice President of People Operations

20 years of financial, entrepreneurial, and people operations experience. Sarah Camacho brings over 20 years of business financial management, entrepreneurial, and people operations experience to the company. Responsible for all employee-facing operations, including HR, employee onboarding, culture, professional development, benefits, performance management, and ongoing employee experience, Sarah will support employee engagement and foster a culture of remote collaboration, diversity, and inclusion that helps grow the business. Prior to Thought Industries, she was the owner of Camacho Financial LLC, an accounting firm specializing in recordkeeping for Business, Trusts, and Associations, helping organizations establish effective operations and plan for future profitability. She’s worked with Thought Industries since the founding of the company and was instrumental in growing the foundation for the accounting and payroll functions.

Vice President of Engineering

27+ years in developing and leading mission critical web application projects. John Tegen brings over 27 years of hands-on experience in designing, building and growing web-based software applications across a multitude of mission critical industries. John is responsible for the software engineering teams and to grow the organization, technology and processes to meet the demands of the company and its customers. Prior to Thought Industries, John has served in similar leading roles in the Hospitality and Education Technology and Home Building verticals where he grew the start-ups to enterprise level organizations.
